About Desmond Youthman
Desmond Youthman is a roots reggae and dub producer from the Netherlands. He grew up drawn to Roots Rock Reggae and the teachings of Ras Tafari. At 15, he began producing riddims from his small home studio—fueled by a deep love for Roots, bass, and the analog warmth of the old-school.
He founded Dread Heights Records to keep the roots alive. His work is inspired by artists like Culture, Papa Levi, Don Carlos, King Tubby, and Scientist. The goal is simple: uplift the people, preserve the sound, and speak righteousness without compromise.
His mission is to defend original roots sound, uplift the youth, and keep the message strong in the middle of digital noise.
